Job summary

Sherburne County is seeking a Driver and Vehicle Services Agent to process information requests and applications for Minnesota REAL, Enhanced, and Standard IDs and licenses. The role verifies documents, collects fees, balances receipts, and performs data entry and back-up duties during elections.

The position is on-site at the Government Center in Elk River, MN, with regular business hours Monday–Friday. Training provided in MN DVS applications and Real ID procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of post-secondary education and two years of administrative support experience.
• OR Four years of administrative support experience.
• OR An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Process applications for Minnesota identification cards, permits, and licenses (REAL ID, Enhanced, STANDARD).
• Verify authenticity of identification documents.
• Collect fees and reconcile daily receipts.
• Enter application information into the State database.
• Provide counter and phone support to the public.
• Back-up during elections, including absentee ballots and voter registration.
