Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a senior civil engineer to lead complex CAD tasks and interpret environmental findings for EPA compliance. You will manage budgets, develop design alternatives, prepare technical reports, and coordinate client presentations in a Texas context.

The role requires TXDOT experience, strong math skills, and the ability to work in Austin or Dallas. A related technical degree with extensive experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ten years related experience OR an Associate Degree with eight years related experience is required.
• Experience working with TXDOT.
• TXDOT experience preferred.
• Experience with SiteManager and/or APCM is preferred.
• Ability to perform basic design calculations and scaling using plane geometry/trigonometry.
• Ability to interpret environmental assessment findings against EPA standards and established criteria.
• Experience performing complex CAD assignments.
• Ability to prepare specifications and technical reports.
• Ability to calculate estimated project costs and man-hours.
• Ability to work in Austin or Dallas, Texas.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex CAD assignments applying relevant discipline principles.
• Develop conceptual design alternatives as required.
• Alter final drawings as requested by the supervisor.
• Assist technical professionals with specifications, technical reports, estimated project costs and man-hours.
• Coordinate presentations to clients.
