Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Reconditioning Manager to supervise a team in the Inspection Center, directing daily operations, coaching staff, and driving a lean manufacturing culture. You will lead up to 70 front line associates and ensure quality, cost, and production objectives are met.

The role requires strong leadership, commitment to safety, and ability to partner with cross-functional teams to sustain Carvana’s standards and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience leading and developing associates.
• Proven ability to achieve project deliverables and company metrics.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Mentor direct reports and perform coaching and performance management.
• Contribute to strategic plans and align with company goals.
• Ensure adherence to standards, policies, and performance metrics.
• Create a positive, collaborative environment aligned with Carvana values.
• Recruit, select, orient, and train supervisory staff.
• Ensure training and certification processes are consistently executed.
• Provide competency-based feedback to leads and associates.
• Support production capacity planning and scheduling.
