Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Reconditioning Center Supervisor to oversee daily operations in our Inspection Center. You will lead 5+ leads and up to 70 associates in a lean manufacturing environment, driving quality, production, and cost objectives while upholding safety standards.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, mentoring, and succession planning, with a focus on building a positive team culture aligned to Carvana's values and operational goals.

Qualifications

• 5 years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience leading and developing associates.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Provide mentoring and accountability to direct reports and succession planning.
• Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with company goals.
• Ensure adherence to operating standards, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
• Create a work environment that fosters communication, cohesion, and Carvana values.
• Recruit, select, orient, and train supervisory staff.
• Ensure progression path training and certification processes are consistently executed.
• Train and mentor leads and associates with competency-based feedback.
• Ensure adequate production capacity and assist with planning.
• Ensure health and safety and loss prevention compliance.
• Provide vision to the reconditioning team to meet performance metrics.
• Positively reinforce and engage the team regarding quality, production, and costs.
• Lead problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts.
