Job summary

Phipps is seeking a Recertification Specialist to process annual and interim recertifications under HUD, LIHTC, and Section 8 guidelines. The role includes preparing notices, scheduling interviews, and verifying income and eligibility documents.

Responsibilities also cover calculating rents, maintaining records in Yardi Voyager, and ensuring regulatory deadlines are met. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• COS HUD programs certification preferred.
• 3+ years experience in low-income, senior, or housing-related programs.
• Knowledge of Yardi/Voyager software is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Process annual and interim recertifications per HUD/LIHTC/Section 8 and company policies.
• Prepare and distribute recertification notices within regulatory timeframes.
• Schedule resident appointments and collect required information.
• Verify income, assets, employment, student status and other eligibility docs.
• Calculate income and rent per program requirements.
• Maintain and follow up on recertification caseloads and documentation.
