Job summary

Fairstead is seeking a Recertification Specialist in Cleveland, OH, tasked with reviewing resident files to ensure HUD compliance. This role involves processing recertifications, calculating rents, and managing resident communications.

The ideal candidate should have knowledge of Section 8 and LIHTC regulations, along with experience using Yardi. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential, along with a COS certification.

Qualifications

• Experience with Section 8, LIHTC, and HUD.
• Ability to operate on a deadline-driven schedule.
• Experience with MOR.
• Experience investigating and correcting income discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Process initial, annual, and interim recertifications per HUD regulations.
• Calculate rents for annual and interim recertification.
• Identify households with income reporting discrepancies.
• Review applicant files for Section 8 eligibility.
• Schedule initial interviews for recertifications.
• Prepare third-party verification forms.
• Maintain residents' files and paperwork.
