Job summary

southeastern College is seeking a friendly Front Desk Ambassador to be the welcoming face of our campus. You’ll greet students, staff and guests while ensuring a smooth flow of information and excellent service in a busy front office.

As the Receptionist, you’ll manage calls, relay messages, and maintain a tidy lobby. This role supports campus activities and contributes to a positive student experience each day.

Qualifications

  • Customer service background with a focus on welcoming, professional interactions.
  • Experience operating switchboards and multi-line phone systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; ability to stay organized and multitask.

Responsibilities

  • Greet students, staff and visitors warmly and professionally.
  • Direct calls to the right people and relay messages accurately.
  • Maintain a welcoming lobby and assist with campus activities as needed.
  • Support campus operations with a proactive, can-do attitude.

Receptionist Responsibilities
  • Be the first point of contact by greeting students, staff, and visitors with warmth and professionalism.
  • Direct calls efficiently to the right individuals, keeping the flow of communication seamless.
  • Take and relay messages - both in person and over the phone - to keep everyone connected and informed.
  • Maintain an inviting, comfortable lobby that leaves a lasting impression on prospective students and guests.
  • Jump in and support various campus activities and projects with a can-do attitude!
What We’re Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent and a customer service background
  • Flexible schedule to support our students and staff, including daytime hours (7:30 AM - 4:30 PM)
  • Experience with switchboards and multi-line phone systems - a multitasking pro!
  • Excellent computer skills, especially in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Superior communication skills and a knack for staying organized
  • Positive, upbeat, and ready to bring your best every day!
