The Foote School is an independent K–9 all-gender day school in New Haven, Connecticut. The Receptionist / Administrative Assistant is an integral part of The Foote School, responsible for managing the reception area and supporting the Business Office and Admissions Office. This position is responsible for maintaining a professional image, a friendly environment, and a high level of customer service as the first point of contact for visitors to the school. This position reports to the Associate Head of School and Chief Financial Officer.
The Receptionist / Administrative Assistant role requires managing highly confidential information, superior administrative and organization skills, and comfort with problem-solving under pressure. This position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the flexibility to balance day-to-day priorities with longer-term goals and projects.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. This is a full-time, 12-month, hourly, non-exempt position. The school-year job hours are Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.; summertime hours are 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Hourly Compensation Range: $21.00 - $26.00/hour
($43,000 -$55,000 annually)
