Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments across store departments are common.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clear direction and resolve conflicts.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and analyze basic financial data.
• Mentor team members and promote safe, compliant operations.

Responsibilities

• Staff, select, and hire to meet staffing needs.
• Promote succession planning and develop career paths.
• Document disciplinary actions and make discharge recommendations.
• Hold P&L accountability and drive sales while controlling shrink.
• Provide exceptional, fast, friendly customer service.
• Lead the team to meet Meijer standards and training requirements.
• Maintain a safe, clean store environment and reliable attendance.
• Communicate Meijer Friendly Initiative in meetings and with staff.
• Mentor hourly employees and team leaders across departments.
