Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a Residential Rear Load Driver to service customers by collecting waste and recyclables using multiple truck types across routes. You will perform routine vehicle checks, interact professionally with customers, and ensure safe, timely pickups.

The role requires a valid Class B CDL, the ability to work nights/weekends, and physical stamina to lift and move containers. Rumpke offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand a map and planned routes.
• Ability to enter/exit the truck 300-500 times per day.
• Strong driving and maneuvering capabilities for various routes.
• Basic knowledge of truck mechanics and safety checks.
• Clear written and verbal communication with customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide trash or recycling removal services to customers, safely and compliantly.
• Routinely enter/exit the truck 300-500 times per day.
• May be required to pull or push containers from enclosures or inside buildings.
• Replace trash/recycling receptacles neatly at the curb or designated area.
• Clean up waste spills and overflows.
• Maintain and update route and driver log sheets.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete logs.
• Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
• Clean waste from the packer blade and truck body and ensure cab cleanliness.
• Deliver trash or recycling containers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
