Job summary

The Association of Village Council Presidents seeks a Deputy Realty Manager to lead Estate Planning, Probate, Rights Protection, Native Allotments and Transactions within the Realty Department. Under the Realty Manager, you will supervise staff and ensure compliance with federal regulations, acting as Realty Manager when needed.

You will manage over 3,000 land tracts in the region, coordinate with BIA/BLM and tribal entities, and develop efficient processes, reports, and staff development.

Qualifications

• Management, program administration, and supervision of staff.
• Thorough understanding of real estate principles and knowledge of BIA and BLM land management programs, including Alaska Native Allotment Act and related statutes.
• 3 years' experience as a program manager and 2 years specialized experience in Realty Services.

Responsibilities

• Assists in establishing relationships with BIA, BLM, Tribal Governments and Individuals for the Realty Program.
• Manages Estate Planning, Probate, Rights Protection, Native Allotment and Transactions functions for the Realty program, including over 3,000 tracts.
• Provides direction and supervision to Realty staff; ensures compliance with regulations.
• Reviews rights protection and probate packages for compliance with federal regulations.
• Coordinates workload systems and provides routine and ad hoc reports.
• Travel is required and confidentiality is essential.
