Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller Design Group is seeking a Reality Capture Manager to lead enterprise-wide laser scanning and digital twin initiatives. You will manage capture resources, workflows, and vendor relationships to deliver accurate existing conditions data for design teams.

You will mentor specialists, develop scalable capture packages, and drive adoption across industries while traveling to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on reality capture, laser scanning, or geospatial work in an AEC environment.
• Proficiency with terrestrial laser scanning platforms (Trimble X9, Leica, Faro).
• Experience with point cloud processing software (Trimble RealWorks, Trimble Perspective, Autodesk ReCap).
• Experience integrating point cloud data into Revit and AutoCAD; BIM workflow familiarity.
• Ability to scope and price professional services engagements.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel 30–40% of time.

Responsibilities

• Develop Reality Capture as a core internal capability across projects.
• Oversee scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation for capture projects.
• Define capture scope, deliverables, and pricing within design service packages.
• Improve workflows, standards, and best practices for efficiency and quality.
• Lead adoption of capture technology and explore stand-alone services.
