Job summary

Scientific Games is seeking an experienced Operations Engineer to support 24×7 real-time transaction processing platforms, ensuring stability, performance, and reliability. You will handle production support, system monitoring, and cross-functional collaboration with Tier 3, QA, and development teams to resolve issues and implement improvements.

The role requires strong scripting (Bash, Python), Linux/Windows administration, PostgreSQL, virtualization (VMware), SAN storage, and on-call rotation

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong scripting and automation capabilities.
• Experience with real-time transaction platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 and 2 production support for real-time platforms.
• Monitor system performance and perform maintenance and patches.
• Automate tasks using Bash, Ansible, and Python to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with Tier 3, QA and development teams to resolve issues and implement improvements.
• Manage access and security, and document procedures and outcomes.
