Job summary

The Clearing House Payments Company is seeking a Software Engineer to join the RTP Product Engineering team in Charlotte. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field
  • 3+ years in Java software development including design, development, documentation, implementation and testing
  • Experience developing Python scripts and programs for data management and analysis
  • Exposure to AWS or another major public cloud provider and cloud-native architectures
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD and automated build/deploy processes
  • Solid problem-solving and analytical skills for software design and troubleshooting

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain reliable software supporting real-time payment processing
  • Write clean Java code aligned with quality standards and secure coding practices
  • Develop components using enterprise Java frameworks (Spring, Spring Boot)
  • Develop Python scripts for data automation and integration services
  • Modernize existing applications and migrate toward cloud-native platforms
  • Create and maintain services, APIs, components, and automated tests

Position summary :The Clearing House (TCH) is seeking a Software Engineer to join our RTP Product Engineering team. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing our critical real-time interbank payment platform, including development of new applications and features while improving the functionality, reliability, and performance of existing applications. The Software Engineer works directly with RTP Product teams and the Director of Product Engineering to ensure quality code deliverables are completed on time and in accordance with TCH Standards. The Software Engineer also works closely with Operations and Technology to define and implement new features and ensure system resiliency.This is an opportunity to develop advanced software engineering skills while working on complex, high-value systems that form part of the financial services infrastructure. You will work alongside experienced engineers to develop, test, enhance, and support highly reliable applications for the payments industry while using AI-assisted automation and engineering practices within the software development lifecycle.TCH values engineers who are technically curious, pragmatic, and interested in understanding how complex systems work, end to end.
