Job summary

Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, seeks a talented technologist to advance real-time path planning and multi-agent coordination within its Battlespace Awareness Command and Control Software team. You will work on high-performance C/C++ and Rust code for live, field-deployed systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of algorithm design and software development with C/C++ and/or Rust.
• Strong knowledge of path planning techniques (A*, D* Lite, RRT, RRT*, PRM) and online replanning.
• Experience in guidance, navigation, and control (GNC); trajectory optimization and prediction.
• Solid understanding of linear algebra, optimization, computational geometry, and graph theory.
• Knowledge of vehicle dynamics and control for autonomous platforms in C2 systems.
• Exposure to machine learning as applied to planning and decision-making, including reinforcement learning.
• Ability to write robust, concurrent code for planning under uncertainty.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a small team on path planning and route optimization.
• Prototype and deploy algorithms for global/local path planning, trajectory optimization, and multi-agent coordination.
• Develop online real-time path planning that replans as conditions change.
• Design high-performance software for real-time C2 systems deployed on field platforms.
• Implement robust planners, search algorithms, and decision-making for safe, feasible routes.
• Analyze system performance with simulations and statistical methods.
• Support customer success with mission-critical planning use cases.
• Integrate path planning into the broader C2 stack from requirements to testing.
