Job summary

Amperesand is seeking highly motivated software developer interns for a fast-paced grid-technology startup. The role focuses on designing real-time firmware for power conversion control and contributing to edge compute layers for observability and analytics.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in university, have strong C/C++, Rust, or Golang skills, and are excited to build on-site in a lab setting. On-site work five days a week, with a comprehensive U.S. benefits package for employees.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in university.
• Strong foundation of algorithms, operating system concepts, and data structures.
• Experience with embedded/real-time systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing real-time firmware for control of power conversion stages.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to review architecture, interface definitions, and system integration plans.
• Hands-on validation at hardware test labs, ensuring software operates reliably in real-world conditions.
• Building and maintaining automation tools for testing, deployment, and CI of embedded code.
