Job summary

Advanced Energy is seeking Firmware/Software Design Engineering Interns and Co-Ops to support development across North American design sites. Interns work with an experienced team in Colorado, Minnesota, Massachusetts or California, focusing on high-performance power conversion, metrology, or controls solutions.

Post-graduate candidates only for summer and school-year internships, pursuing degrees at partner universities.

Qualifications

• Proficiency debugging circuits in a lab using oscilloscopes, meters and firmware tools.
• Experience with Windows-based design/analysis tools and MS Office.
• Ability to work independently and within a team to meet schedules.

Responsibilities

• participate in core team to meet schedule, cost and customer satisfaction goals.
• Develop, test and debug prototype power supply units.
• Analyze test data against specs and report findings.
• Interface with internal departments to ensure cost and schedule goals.
• Design analog/digital circuits, EMI filters and power circuits.
• Develop and implement control algorithms.
• Model and simulate devices, circuits or systems.
