Job summary

Siemens Grid Software is seeking energetic Electrical Engineering students for an Energy Developer Solutions Internship starting May/June 2027. This fully remote role offers hands-on experience with power system studies and grid interconnections while collaborating with industry experts.

Ideal candidates are pursuing related degrees, can work full-time for 12 weeks, and are legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or related field.
• Prior Siemens US Grid Software internship experience.
• Ability to work remotely full-time (40 hours per week) for the 12‑week program.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without sponsorship.
• This internship is a structured experiential learning program for students enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program.

Responsibilities

• Applying transmission and/or distribution power system topology changes.
• Analyzing transmission and/or distribution power systems through steady state, short circuit, or transient stability studies.
• Conducting research on processes and guidelines for load and generation interconnections to the power grid.
• Working with Siemens Grid Software experts who have developed the software, products, and services.
