Job summary

Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is seeking a Software Engineering Internship in Franksville, WI. You’ll work on interface software for high-performance, real-time controls and protective relays in smart grid applications, as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with feature development, CI pipelines, and collaborative design reviews while contributing to state-of-the-art electrical power solutions.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS/CE/Software Engineering with graduation no earlier than Dec 2027.
• GPA 2.8+ required; no immigration sponsorship for CPT/OPT/STEM OPT.
• Residence within 50 miles of Franksville, WI; relocation not offered.
• Preferred: internship or co-op, junior or higher, GPA 3.2+; .NET/C# apps; UX with WPF/XAML/Workflow; Agile Scrum familiarity; SDLC tools.

Responsibilities

• Implement features to configure, monitor, and update power system devices using .NET and C#.
• Translate product requirements into software stories and code with unit tests.
• Participate in planning, estimation, programming, testing, reviews, and CI integration.
• Assist in subsystem specifications and design reviews.
