Job summary

Motional is seeking a Mission Control Specialist to support real-time autonomous vehicle operations. You will monitor fleet activity, coordinate workflows, and assist with incident response to maintain safe, efficient driverless operations.

The role requires strong attention to detail, calm communication, and the ability to work across multiple teams in a fast-paced command center environment. Flexibility for nights/weekends/holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
• 1–4+ years in operations support, dispatch, logistics coordination, or command center operations.
• Ability to stay calm, organized, and focused in fast-paced environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to follow structured escalation processes.
• Experience with dashboards, live monitoring platforms, or ticketing systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor real-time fleet dashboards and telemetry to detect anomalies or service impacts.
• Escalate safety risks and non-nominal events according to procedures.
• Coordinate field support, dispatch resources, and incident documentation during active events.
• Support environmental and operational condition monitoring affecting service (ODD, weather, closures).
• Assist with onboarding and training materials, and contribute to operational procedures.
