Job summary

Compass is seeking a Transaction Coordinator in New Jersey to support agents by managing the entire listing, contract, and close process. You will ensure compliance, track deadlines, and validate commission records across our systems to enable seamless closings.

The role requires a real estate license and 2+ years of related experience, with strong attention to detail and customer service. Hybrid work with occasional travel supports our busy operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a real estate transaction-processings function, coordination, accounting, or payroll function preferred.
• Real estate license is required
• Familiarity with standard real estate forms used in New Jersey, Philadelphia, and Delaware
• Strong written, quantitative, verbal, and presentation skills
• Ability to digest detailed contracts and make informed decisions based on content
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of Agent’s contract data
• Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Customer service-oriented personality
• Impeccable attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• B.A. or B.S. degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Handle document tracking for a large volume of real estate transactions from listing to close, and/or contract to close, ensuring compliance with brokerage and legal requirements
• Ensure real estate contracts are processed properly and in a timely matter, with a focus on the details
• Manage and track contract deadlines to ensure all timelines are met
• Navigate company systems to validate accuracy of compliance and commission records
• Provide support to Agents in response to inquiries regarding commission payouts, deductions, and commission calculations
• Collaborate with sales managers and other support teams to offer outstanding support to the agents
