Job summary

Compass is seeking a Transaction Coordinator in New Jersey to manage compliance and administrative tasks from listing to close. This role partners with agents and internal teams to ensure a seamless, high-velocity closing experience, enabling agents to focus on client relationships and growth.

The position requires working from our New Jersey office one day every other week, with occasional travel to other offices for events.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a real estate transaction-processings function, coordination, accounting, or payroll function preferred.
• Illinois real estate license required
• Familiarity with standard real estate forms used in Illinois
• Strong written, quantitative, verbal, and presentation skills
• Ability to digest detailed contracts and make informed decisions based on content
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of Agent’s contract data
• Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Customer service-oriented personality
• Impeccable attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• B.A. or B.S. degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Handle document tracking for a large volume of real estate transactions from listing to close, and/or contract to close, ensuring compliance with brokerage and legal requirements
• Ensure real estate contracts are processed properly and in a timely matter, with a focus on the details
• Manage and track contract deadlines to ensure all timelines are met
• Navigate company systems to validate accuracy of compliance and commission records
• Provide support to Agents in response to inquiries regarding commission payouts, deductions, and commission calculations
• Collaborate with sales managers and other support teams to offer outstanding support to the agents
