Job summary

CoStar Group, Inc. is seeking Field Researchers to canvass high-priority commercial properties in Chicago, IL, collecting detailed tenant information and building characteristics. You will cover assigned properties, access rosters, and verify data with building staff.

Successful candidates are detail-oriented, have strong time management, and can work independently within a defined geographic area. A valid driver's license is required and field experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; not-for-profit university/college acceptable.
• 2+ years professional experience.
• Strong time management and detail orientation; ability to work independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Accurate data capture and entry.
• Ability to navigate large geographic areas independently.
• Willingness to learn commercial real estate terminology.

Responsibilities

• Navigate one-mile square grids to ensure complete data coverage.
• Walk buildings floor-by-floor to document tenant data (business name, address, suite size, geo-location, media).
• Communicate with building staff to access tenant rosters and data.
• Identify missing inventory and data gaps.
• Ensure timeliness, accuracy and completeness of collected information.
• Represent CoStar professionally at all times.
