Job summary

CoStar Group in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Field Researcher to support our real estate data ecosystem. You will canvass commercial properties, document tenant details, space metrics, and location data to help deliver accurate market insights to clients.

The role requires in-person field work, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently across wide geographic areas. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited in-person university.
• At least 2 years of professional experience.
• Strong time management and very detail oriented; enjoys working independently.
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and organizational skills.
• Capability to accurately capture and enter data.
• Ability to work independently and stay organized while navigating large geographic areas.
• Strong problem-solving skills; proactively identify missing data and resolve discrepancies.
• Tech-Savvy: Windows, macOS, Microsoft Office, and Internet applications.
• Field experience preferred.
• Current and valid driver’s license with clean driving history.

Responsibilities

• Navigate one-mile square grids to ensure complete commercial real estate data coverage.
• Walk through assigned buildings floor-by-floor to document tenant data.
• Communicate with building staff to gain access to tenant rosters and data.
• Identify new or missing inventory and data gaps.
• Ensure timeliness, accuracy and completeness of all collected information.
• Represent CoStar in a professional manner.
