Job summary

Ampact's Reading Corps program seeks Reading Tutors to help students in local California schools build reading skills. Tutors receive training, deliver proven activities, and coach students through daily 20-minute sessions, with on-site support from a school coach.

Responsibilities include leading tutoring sessions, tracking student progress in data software, following a schedule, and committing to coaching and training.

Qualifications

• Dependable with good attendance and a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient with basic computers (email, online navigation).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule for consistent support.
• Track student progress and meet with on-site coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter scores in data software.
• Commit to growth through coaching and training.
• Share tutoring experiences with the community.
