Job summary

Ampact's Reading Corps is hiring Reading Tutors to work at local schools in California. You’ll spend your day delivering proven reading activities, coaching students, and tracking progress under on-site supervision.

You’ll participate in 20-minute tutoring blocks, 35 hours per week, with daytime hours Monday–Friday for the 2026-27 school year. Part-time options at 27.5 or 20 hours are also available. English proficiency required.

Qualifications

• Dependable with good attendance history.
• Able to follow instructions and improve from feedback.
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).

Responsibilities

• Lead tutoring sessions in 20-minute blocks with students.
• Track progress and enter scores in data software.
• Collaborate with on-site coach and school staff.
• Commit to ongoing coaching and training.
