Ampact's Reading Corps is recruiting Reading Tutors to work in local schools, delivering structured 20-minute reading sessions and tracking student progress.

You'll receive training, coaching, and ongoing support as you help students build confidence and skills, while contributing to a nationwide tutoring effort.

The program runs for the 2026-27 school year with daytime hours, and AmeriCorps stipend and education awards are available to participants.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Ability to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer tasks (email, internet).

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to provide support.
• Track student progress and meet with the on-site coach.
• Enter student scores in data software and communicate results.
