Ampact's Reading Corps is seeking Reading Tutors to support students at local schools. You will lead short reading sessions, monitor progress, and collaborate with an on-site coach to ensure consistent growth. Training and coaching are provided to help you improve and succeed.

Roles run during the school year with a schedule aligned to school times. This position emphasizes mentorship, accountability, and community involvement, with part-time options available.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and apply feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email, online navigation).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
• 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult who's focused on helping children thrive
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores in data software
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training
• Share your experience with the community
