Job summary

Reading Corps is powered by Ampact, a national nonprofit, and seeks Reading Tutors to help local students become strong readers in their schools. You’ll deliver structured activities, follow a schedule, and be supported by an on-site coach during 20-minute tutoring blocks.

Ideal candidates are reliable with strong attendance, able to follow instructions, proficient with basic computer skills, fluent in English, 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent, and eligible to pass a background

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email, online navigation).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• US citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule for consistency.
• Track student progress and meet with on-site coach.
• Enter student scores in data software.
• Commit to personal growth through coaching and training.
• Share experiences with the community.
