Job summary

Ampact’s Reading Corps is seeking Reading Tutors to work at a local Stockton, CA school, helping students become strong readers. You’ll receive training and coaching as you deliver proven activities and guide students through 20 minutes of daily reading practice.

We’re hiring for the 2026-27 school year with 35 hours per week, Monday–Friday, daytime hours. Part-time roles are also available at 27.5 or 20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Reliable attendance and ability to follow instructions.
• Proficient with basic computer tasks (email, online navigation).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet with the on-site coach regularly.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter scores in data software.
• Commit to growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
