Job summary

Ampact's Reading Corps is seeking Reading Tutors to help students become strong readers in local schools. You will be trained to deliver proven activities and coached every step of the way, with 20 minutes of reading practice per pair of students each school day.

You will lead tutoring sessions, track progress with the on-site coach, and enter scores in data software. The program runs 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday during school hours; part-time roles at 25 hours per week are also

Qualifications

• Be dependable with history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and make improvements based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (like email and navigating online).
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping children thrive.
