Ampact's Reading Corps is hiring Reading Tutors to work in local schools and help students improve reading skills. You’ll receive training, follow a set schedule, and guide pairs of students for focused 20-minute sessions each school day.

Positions offer a biweekly stipend, health insurance options, childcare assistance, and education benefits. AmeriCorps members contribute to a large, nationwide tutoring initiative and have opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Dependable with good attendance history.
• Able to follow instructions and use basic software (email, data entry).
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.

Responsibilities

• Lead tutoring sessions following a school-day schedule.
• Track student progress and enter scores into data software.
• Collaborate with onsite coach and school staff for student support.
• Commit to professional growth through coaching and training.
