Job summary

The Mother Church Reading Room in Boston invites a Librarian to support daily operations, assist visitors, and maintain an uplifting healing environment. The role combines administrative duties with technical setup, agenda coordination, and weekly Agile team participation.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree or 3–5 years in tourism/hospitality, retail, or event planning, plus strong customer service and communication skills. Some experience with Christian Science materials is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or 3–5 years experience in tourism/hospitality, retail or event planning.
• Experience communicating about Christian Science to the public is desirable.
• Membership in The Mother Church and Primary Class instruction required.

Responsibilities

• Handle administrative and operational duties, including opening/closing the Reading Room.
• Provide sales and visitor service on shift and maintain an uplifting environment.
• Learn and implement new technologies and procedures as the Reading Room evolves.
• Coordinate events and setup, contribute to daily reports and Agile meetings.
