Job summary

Alpha is seeking a Student Success Coach to guide K-3 students through app-based literacy sessions, diagnose gaps, and drive daily learning goals. You will work on-site with a team focused on building foundational reading skills using structured literacy methods.

The role emphasizes small-group coaching, data-driven instruction, and consistent presence through lunch and dismissal to support every child’s progress.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years working directly with children ages 4-9 in teaching, coaching, tutoring or similar settings.
• At least 2 years coaching students on reading in grades K-3 within the last 5 years.
• Completed structured-literacy training or a master's in reading or literacy.

Responsibilities

• Get every K-3 student to their daily learning goals and close reading gaps.
• Lead small group sessions of two to four students using app-based core learning.
• Guide morning launch, literacy workshops, and daily routines with energetic, student-centered approach.
• Help students reach weekly app goals using school currency and gamification.
• Stay with students through lunch, recess, and closing and plan for any challenges.
