Radiant in El Segundo, CA is hiring a Reactor Operations Engineer to bridge software and hardware testing with regulatory procedures. You will translate complex designs into executable, DOE/NRC compliant workflows and help engineers improve operator interfaces and tools.

Ideal candidates will apply first principles thinking to optimize testing, procedures, and human factors while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to enable safe, efficient reactor operations.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical, Nuclear, Aerospace or related field.
• Graduating in Dec 2026 or Spring 2027.
• Experience in managing or optimizing hardware and software testing/operations.
• Ability to apply first principles thinking to solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine operational procedures that integrate software and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
• Bridge engineering, operations, and human factors to create DOE/NRC compliant procedures.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve operator interfaces, workflows, and software tools.
• Gain firsthand experience to ensure procedures align with real-world execution.
• Support testing and improvements of digital twin scenarios and operator systems.
• Ensure DOE and NRC standards are met with clear, usable procedural documentation.
