Radiant in El Segundo, CA, is seeking a Senior Reactor Operations Engineer to design and implement mission-critical procedures for reactor operators managing our nuclear microreactor technology. You will gain hands-on experience as an RO, bridging engineering, operations, and human factors, collaborating across disciplines to translate hardware and software designs into clear, DOE/NRC compliant procedures.

Qualifications

• 6–7+ years of full-time engineering experience in design, analysis, or testing.
• Experience managing complex hardware and software in testing/operations.
• Background in highly regulated industries (nuclear, aerospace, aviation, maritime).

Responsibilities

• Qualify as an operator to gain firsthand experience.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve operator interfaces and workflows.
• Support testing and improvements of digital twin scenarios and HMIs.
• Ensure DOE and NRC standards compliance in procedural docs.
• Develop procedures integrating software and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
