Job summary

Radiant seeks a Reactor Operations Engineer in El Segundo, CA to develop and refine procedures that integrate software and hardware-in-the-loop testing for nuclear reactor operations.

You will bridge engineering, operations, and human factors to produce clear, executable procedures aligned with DOE and NRC standards, guiding operators through test, commissioning, and ongoing operations with safety and precision.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in managing or optimizing complex hardware and software processes for testing and operations.
• Ability to apply first principles thinking to solve problems in uncertain or ambiguous situations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine operational procedures that integrate software and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
• Bridge engineering, operations and human factors to create clear, executable DOE/NRC‑compliant procedures.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve operator interfaces, procedural workflows, and software tools.
• Ensure procedures align with real-world execution and compliance requirements.
• Support testing and iterative improvements of digital twin scenarios and human-machine interfaces.
• Maintain formatting, clarity and usability in procedural documentation.
