Job summary

Mohave County Sheriff's Office is seeking an Inmate Release Coordinator for the Adult Detention Center. The role involves interacting with the public through networking, meetings, and occasional public speaking to coordinate release efforts and service linkage for inmates.

The position requires background in administrative support and experience with substance abuse or mental health contexts, with driving privileges and ability to travel for training.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative support experience.
• Two (2) years of experience in a setting dealing with substance abuse or mental health issues, preferably in a detention or correctional environment.
• Must pass drug screen post offer and polygraph.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for operation of motor vehicles on Arizona roads.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains filing, indexing and cross-referencing systems.
• Coordinates meetings and takes minutes.
• Designs and creates documents, brochures and newsletters using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
• Verifies and checks work for completeness and accuracy; resolves errors.
• Gathers and prepares material for special reports and summaries at the request of superiors.
• Interacts with inmates and practitioners to identify treatment options and service linkage.
• Coordinates release-related activities with Detention personnel.
