Job summary

Frederick County Government seeks a professional to manage inmates at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center (FCADC) or Frederick County Work Release Center (FCWRC) and/or defendants assigned to supervision under a Sheriff’s Office program.

You will conduct intake, coordinate case needs, facilitate access to services, and maintain required documentation across multiple systems while supporting program participation and communications with internal and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in social work, criminal justice, criminology, sociology, psychology or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience in criminal justice, case management, social work, or psychology.
• Ability to obtain Maryland Certified Correctional Employee certification within 12 months of hire.
• Knowledge of casework, corrections, and court processes; ability to interact with inmates and staff professionally.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake interviews and enter required information into designated systems.
• Provide orientation to individuals entering custody and oversee a caseload with broad case management needs.
• Coordinate pre-release processes and assist with planning for community re-entry.
• Maintain electronic records and statistical information; prepare routine reports for leadership.
