Job summary

Worcester County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a Re-Entry Services Coordinator to lead the Ralph Gants Re-entry Services Program at the Community Justice Support Center in Worcester, MA. The role focuses on outreach, intake, case management, and connecting clients to housing, healthcare, education, and employment resources.

The successful candidate will build rapport with justice‑involved individuals, manage caseloads, collaborate with public benefits staff, and support aftercare and alumni

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or lived experience with educational development and intent to continue education.
  • Two years of experience working with justice-involved populations.
  • Mastery of basic technology including MS Office and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-reach to facilities to publicize services at the Support Center.
  • Develop rapport with individuals returning from incarceration for warm-handoffs.
  • Create and maintain client case files with intake data, assessments and reentry plans.
  • Manage the caseload for all participants in the Gants Program.
  • Coordinate with benefits staff to establish public benefits and community referrals.
  • Maintain monthly contact with clients for 18 months.
  • Facilitate mentoring opportunities and coordinate with mentoring programs.
