Job summary

IU Health is seeking a Revenue Cycle Associate to deliver essential, customer-facing services from the Revenue Cycle System Services team. The role includes scheduling, registration, insurance verification, prior-authorization, financial counseling, cashiering, and release of information, with the goal of meeting productivity and quality standards.

Based in Muncie, IN, this full-time daytime position may allow for a remote schedule.

Qualifications

• Current Indiana Navigator’s license required for ISC.
• At least 1 year of hospital or physician Revenue Cycle experience preferred.
• Knowledge of patient registration and financial clearance.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work within a team and maintain collaborative relationships.
• Ability to take initiative and meet objectives.

Responsibilities

• Deliver customer-facing services within Revenue Cycle System Services.
• Handle scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and prior-authorization.
• Provide financial counseling and individual solutions, cashiering, release of information.
• Maintain productivity, quality, and service standards aligned with goals.
• Perform higher-complexity tasks as assigned compared with RCS-Associate.

Job description

Onsite location is Revenue Cycle White River Blvd in Muncie, IN. Opportunity for remote schedule. Must be able to train new hires onsite. Full-time day shift, Mon-Fri. This position is responsible for the delivery of customer facing services within Revenue Cycle System Services. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, scheduling, registration, insurance verification, prior-authorization, financial counseling/individual solutions, cashiering, release of information and customer service. Position adheres to departmental productivity, quality, and service standards in support of operational goals. Position is assigned higher complexity tasks than those expected from RCS-Associate and incumbents are held to higher productivity and quality standards.

• For those serving as the Individual Solutions Coordinator (ISC), a current Indiana State Navigator's license is required.
• At least one year of experience in hospital or physician Revenue Cycle strongly preferred.
• Requires working knowledge of patient registration and financial clearance.
• Requires a high level of interpersonal and problem solving skills.
