Job summary

Zurich North America is seeking a RCIS Crop Claims Specialist or Crop Field Adjuster I to join our team in Kentucky. The role involves liability assessment, coverage verification, and field work in agricultural settings, with travel within the territory and to the Crop Claims Care Center as needed.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 6+ months in agriculture or 4+ years in the industry for the specialist track, plus CAPP certification within 180 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 6+ months of experience in agricultural area.
• CAPP certification must be obtained within 180 days of hire.
• Reliable personal transportation and travel within territory.
• RCIS Crop Adjuster physical requirements: walk fields up to 3 miles, climb bins up to 25 feet, lift 25–50 lbs.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organization, multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Exercise judgement to determine liability by gathering and analyzing relevant facts.
• Exercise judgement to determine policy verification and coverage determination by analyzing coverage for claims.
• Participates in Risk Management Agency reviews and referrals for operations integrity and quality assurance.
• Protect Zurich’s reputation by keeping claims information confidential.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities and networking.
