Job summary

Utz Quality Foods in Kings Mountain, NC, is expanding our manufacturing facility and seeking a Raw Material Utility to handle materials, operate palletizing equipment, and support packaging operations for smooth production. The role includes shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM on weekdays, with Saturdays as needed, and requires safety awareness and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Understanding of food safety rules, policies and procedures.
• Able to stand long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Basic computer and data entry skills for tracking equipment performance.
• Forklift experience and ability to obtain certification on day one.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, production environment and stay organized.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; Spanish-speaking preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety standards to maintain a zero-accident culture on the production floor.
• Operate and adjust robotic palletizers and production equipment, ensuring proper programming for new products and specifications.
• Accurately track and enter pallet data into our data collection systems and complete inventory control logs.
• Review production schedules, move pallets from the production area to the warehouse, and ensure materials are staged for the next shift.
• Ensure labeling and barcoding are correct and address any packaging quality issues with attention to detail.
• Ensure that equipment and work areas are cleaned and well-maintained.
