Job summary

Otsuka America Pharmaceutical, Inc. seeks an Area Business Lead, Rare Disease to coordinate with Medical, RAMs, PELs and TLLs to grow the Rare Disease portfolio in the U.S. You will lead 6 Rare Disease Account Managers and align regional plans with national goals, ensuring collaboration with KOLs, payers, and academic centers.

You will shape strategies, enable field teams, and drive patient-centric outcomes while upholding high ethical and regulatory standards across activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or related graduate degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of first-line leadership experience in Rare Disease.
• Nephrology and/or Immunology leadership experience highly preferred.
• Rare Disease launch experience preferred.
• Proven coaching, training and mentoring skills with a track record of meeting goals.

Responsibilities

• First line leader coaching Rare Disease Account Managers and developing strategies with key accounts and KOLs.
• Oversee field team development plans and sales training to enhance selling and virtual engagement.
• Develop regional business plans aligned with national goals and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet business objectives and drive growth.
