Job summary

Otsuka America Pharmaceutical, Inc. is seeking an Area Business Lead, Rare Disease to lead a team of Rare Disease Account Managers in the field, shaping regional plans and driving patient access and physician engagement.

You will partner with Medical, RAMs, PELs, and TLLs to execute strategies, coach field teams, and build relationships with payers, KOLs, and centers of excellence to grow the business while upholding compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or related graduate degree preferred.
• Proven track record in coaching, training and mentoring peers to meet or exceed goals.
• Proven track record for consistently meeting or exceeding financial and/or other targets/goals.
• Well organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage shifting responsibilities in a dynamic and cross-functional team environment.
• Demonstrated ability and experience in leading a high performing sales organization.
• Strong understanding of healthcare compliance, legal and regulatory landscape.

Responsibilities

• Lead Rare Disease Account Managers and oversee key accounts, stakeholders and business partners to drive growth.
• Develop regional business plans and execute field sales strategies to engage physicians and payers.
• Coach and develop field teams in a matrix structure with cross-functional peers (Medical, RAMs, PELs, TLL).
• Build strong relationships with KOLs, payers, academic centers, and patients to expand access and outcomes.
• Ensure ethical and compliant operations while achieving regional sales objectives and budget targets.
