Job summary

Amgen is seeking an Account Manager/Specialty Account Manager for the Rare Disease division to cover Danbury and Waterbury, CT. You will promote disease and product education to healthcare professionals while meeting sales targets, within a matrix environment and compliance guidelines.

You will build key relationships with KOLs and healthcare teams, execute strategic plans, and navigate the healthcare landscape to improve patient access and outcomes. Travel 20–30% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of sales experience in pharma/biotech or hospital sales.
• Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience in pharma/biotech or hospital sales.
• High school diploma with 8 years of sales experience in pharma/biotech or hospital sales.
• Doctorate degree with 2 years of account management/sales experience; or Master’s with 6 years; or Bachelor’s with 8 years; or Associate with 10 years.

Responsibilities

• Promote disease and product education to healthcare professionals to improve patient care while complying with guidelines.
• Execute strategic account business plans to meet marketing goals.
• Collaborate with case managers, medical affairs, patient access, and other teams.
• Utilize resources and cross-functional partners to address knowledge gaps.
• Build relationships with local, regional, and national KOLs in the territory.
• Maintain high-level disease and therapeutic knowledge; support Rare Disease patients.
