Job summary

Ohio CAT is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide on-site, rapid-response support for urgent equipment issues. You’ll operate from a service pickup truck, delivering fast diagnostics, on-site repairs, and temporary fixes to minimize downtime.

You’ll use Caterpillar diagnostic tools, perform ECM updates, and support telematics installations while adhering to safety guidelines and escalating major repairs as needed. Valid driver’s license and 5 years of field experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on repair with diesel, earthmoving or industrial equipment.
• Valid driver's license required.
• High School Diploma or GED plus a 2-year diesel/power equipment program.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site field service to diagnose and repair equipment with minimal downtime.
• Perform fast diagnostics and temporary repairs to keep machines running.
• Check electronic and hydraulic systems and update fault codes.
• Install Product Link or telematics hardware and configure ECM updates.
• Escalate major repairs to shop or field teams when needed.
• Adhere to safety procedures and wear company uniforms.
