Zusammenfassung

Ohio CAT in Ohio is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide immediate, on-site support for urgent equipment issues. You’ll work from a service truck, performing diagnostics, repairs and installations to keep machines running and customers moving.

You will use Caterpillar diagnostic tools, read drawings, and follow safety procedures while escalating major repairs to shop teams. A diesel or power equipment tech background and 3+ years hands-on experience are preferred.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED with a 2-year diesel or power equipment program.
• At least 3 years of relevant industry experience.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Aufgaben

• Provide immediate, on-site support for equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Focus on fast diagnostics and temporary repairs to keep machines operating.
• Perform electronic and hydraulic system checks.
• Use Product Link, Service Link, CAT ET, CAT Inspect, and related tools for fault-code analysis.
• ECM flash updates and configuration adjustments.
• Install and set up Product Link or telematics hardware.
• Provide status updates and recommendations; escalate major repairs when needed.
• Adhere to safety procedures and best practices.
