Job summary

Sound in Auburn, WA is hiring a Mobile Crisis Peer Support Specialist to respond to crisis calls via a mobile unit, conduct assessments, and connect clients with resources. You will work with emergency responders and community partners to provide immediate behavioral health support and follow-up services.

The role requires lived experience with mental health challenges, a WA driver's license, and ability to work varied shifts including nights.

Qualifications

• Lived experience with mental health challenges is REQUIRED.
• Comfort working across varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Crisis Assessment and Intervention: Respond to crisis calls as a member of a mobile crisis team in the community.
• Follow-up: Provide follow up services for clients after a crisis.
• Support: Provide empathetic support and active listening to individuals in crisis.
• Building Rapport: Use personal lived experiences to foster trust with clients.
• Collaboration: Work with behavioral health professionals, law enforcement and resources.
• Documentation: Record interactions and services provided.
