Job summary

DESC (Downtown Emergency Service Center) seeks a team member for the Mobile Rapid Response Crisis Team to respond to adults in crisis across Seattle and the central King County region. You will work with Mental Health Professionals and Crisis Outreach Specialists to assess, intervene, and connect clients to services in the community.

The role emphasizes recovery-focused support, de-escalation, and collaboration with various programs, with a flexible schedule and union representation by SEIU

Qualifications

• Current CPSS or CPSS-T credential.
• CACPS training within 90 days or ability to complete.
• Lived experience with behavioral health services or caregiving experience.
• Valid WA driver license with insurable driving record.
• Interest in engaging hard-to-reach clients in crisis.
• Personal recovery experience and resilience.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention, stabilization, and related activities.
• Engage in outreach with Crisis Connections and referents for crisis intervention.
• Conduct assessments and linkages to needed services.
• Complete data collection and documentation.
• Provide peer recovery support and collaborate with DESC programs.
